It all started in 1980. Our father and grandfather Ray Lal decided to start Image Bodyshop after moving to Australia from Fiji in the years prior & working in the laundry room of a busy South Western Sydney hospital. 

​

Ray had learnt the trade of repairing and spraypainting motor vehicles from a relative in between shifts and taking care of his family. In fact, Ray's passion and skill for cars had started back in Fiji where he always had a noticeable ride, with something unique from the perspective of onlookers.

​

It was that flair for doing up cars that saw Ray build and sustain one of Sydney's most relied upon and trusted smash repair shops still going strong after 44 years. 

​

These days, Image Bodyshop is still delivering those high end results. We're proud to say that with Ray still around the IBSR workshop, we are now a multigenerational team. 

​

Image Bodyshop has customers who have been with us since day one. Their kids and grandkids come back time and again, bringing family and friends because they know we will always take care of our customers however we can.
